This is my first proper draft for my magazine. There are lots of things that could be improved, such as the masthead and the anchoring text are pretty similar, so is confusing. There are too many fonts on the page, which also makes it confusing as you cant separate the titles and where the band names are in their original logo, it also confuses the reader.

Prototype
This is a prototype for my magazine, I have got the basics of my magazine, i have also changed the mast head font, along with the anchoring text and added a glow. I feel i could add a banner at the top to make the text stand out.

More development for my magazine
This is a version of my final cover. I really tired to make the background like the album cover from Lamb of God. I tried to match the colour scheme and composition by having the red on the bottom and green towards the top, and the colour of the writing.
A convention of the metal magazines, is a black bar at the top, which has information about bands at the top, like so>
For my own banner, I have used a band called 'Svarttjern' and 'Badlock', and further down the cover, I also use 'Finntroll' and 'Lamb of God'. When trying to draw attention to the bands, I found I could edit the layer, and add a glow to the layer. I have also found that I can separate the layers using the lasso tool, copy the layer, and bring it on top of other layers, such as words, to make it look like hes on top of them

Why do people read music magazines?
People read music magazines to be entertained, to spend time reading about something they like. A person who likes metal wouldn't buy a teen pop magazine, because they enjoy metal, they would spend money on the things they enjoy. People also read music magazines to find out about tour dates and concerts, which yet again, the person would buy the magazine targeted towards their target group, so the spend time in an environment they enjoy, you wouldn't see the Mexican matriarchy band at a K pop concert. People also buy music magazines because they have incentives such as 'FREE POSTERS' and 'EXCLUSIVE LOOKS INTO....' so they make the reader feel special and persuaded them to buy it, in order to have this limited edition.
