I have decided to change my idea, and go for a much darker photo, as this is more fitting to my aduience. the floor blends into the background making it a lot darker and looks more like a metal magazine as they tend to have dark backgrounds and lots of props. Where the background is darker, I could switch the font colours for the mast head.
The darker background also allows me to add better effects, as most magazines, for this genre have.
